Gus has been owned by Pat for about 20 years now and pretty much daily driven on the central coast for most of that time. It was about 8 years ago that Pat

came to us and inquired about IRS and Ball Joint beams and their impact and advantages on a bus of its age.

Pat being a “do it yourself” kinda guy, he bought our IRS kit took it home and fitted it. Pat brought us the beam and we fitted the adjusters

to it and then Pat set the bus up about standard height as you can see by the photos.

The beam has to be adjusted down 2” to get the splitter back to standard height as the ball joint beam does raise a splitter by that much. But as we can clearly see the IRS kit sets the bus back up at standard height with a good wheel alignment and gets the bus up to kruizing speed for freeway driving.

                                          Gus would have to be the original rat bus, he’s always looked like this.
