Once Upon A Time there was this little bloke not happy with the power of his Volkswagen Beetle...

He had no toys as a kid........ he desided when he grew up to be big like the Chief he was gunna have heaps of toys and everyone of them was gunna be powered by a V8.

Want an Introduction? This is my very good mate Bluey Boxell, known as the Bluedog. The following is just the tip of the iceberg of the bluedog collection of life sizes toys. The V8 Beetle project here was started in the late 70s and has been driven every day since.

After travelling the world as a rich tourist for the early part of his life, he desided after his tour of duty as a rich tourist he would start his business making Trophys, T Shirts, Coasters, Mugs, Stickers on the side while he spent the rest of his life building cars, trailors, toys and all sorts of interesting goodies to keep him out of trouble..

As the Number Plate states, its not a 1200 motor anymore..  A 38 Ford grill, a custom Dog Made bonnet, and a few weeks with Legend Paul Kelly to get rid of some of the roof height, some old pommy chassis going to waste.. and Bingo............. a Beetle with Balls....

As you can see, Bluey got rid of the reserve tank tap under the dash, it got in the way of the bell housing that belongs to the C4 Auto buried in the fire wall.

The Ole Buggers a happy camper these days, and always has some secret project underway, somewhere, somehow.. Here is one of them, his hand build Aluminium Tear Drop Trailor, built by the Dog himself, with some help from a mate Larry.

As you can see, the teardrop was built in scale to the beetle, and ALL hand formed. One of the many toys that get towed behind this sweet little creation.

There is plenty more where this came from, but Im not authorised to show you.................yet.

The Dog builds all sorts of real cars and toys to keep himself amused when hes not producing Trophies, T Shirts, Jackets, Hats, Coasters and plenty of other stuff for Car Shows and many of the Sporting Clubs around the State. There has been Pedal Cars, Display Cabinets, more trailors other Hot Rods and Plenty of Secret Projects....

Well................... Id love to tell you theres another Hot Rod underway, or that this beetle is getting a full wild custom make over after more that 20 years and more than a half a million miles of service as is, or about the other secret V8 project with wings, spats, a joy stick and a cockpit, but.......... I promised I wouldnt tell........  

Too much time on his hands is the old saying, but not enough I reckon. Theres more fun to being had as we speak.
