Timm actually sent me a story about this little sweetheart, read on, some of us get lucky.

This 1958 Deluxe Beetle had been sitting in a garage for 20 years, until I came along and put 400kms on the dial just to get her home. The car drove ok but just needed some obvious servicing and then drove like new.

I took her to Indian and Damien and Kimm got her road worthy and serviced her. Some new parts like exhaust and J pipes and some brake work. She didnt need much at all, only minor stuff to make her road worthy.

Now she is registered and is a once a month driver, even been used as a “getaway” car in a wedding. She has no body rust just a nice layer of surface rust, the way nature intended. No plans for now as I’m just enjoying driving her and the comments I get from all sorts. One of my favourite parts is all the little surprises that came with her. Such as an original brass fire extinguisher, papers and logs books going back to day one, original snow chains and a few other goodies to boot. … .Timm
